Commissioning the new production hall in Renningen
Schäfer MWN moved into the newly constructed production hall in Renningen in March 2014. The building, which was constructed in less than nine months, is considered to be technologically and ecologically state of the art. The hall fulfils the newest regulations for the Energy Saving Directives (EnEV), and is equipped with daylight dependent LED illumination. The new building, with around 2,000 square metres of utilisation area, is equipped with highly-modern and high-performance units and equipment for the production of innovative components made from fibre-reinforced plastics in a filament winding process.
The commissioning of the facility was executed according to plan, and the first client orders have been successfully completed. Machine capacity and lifting capacity allow for producing and handling components with diameters up to
1.5 m, lengths of up to 13 m and a unit weight of 15 t.
